Terracotta and clay sculptress, Maria Lurza Brandalise, makes flowers, fruit and animal figures, hand painted in bright eye-catching colours. The flowers, tulips, cactus, violets, begonia, magnolias and the like, are pieces of art. Her fruit in life-size and large-size format, are fabulous. The animals, chickens, toucans and parrots are moulded here, before being hand finished in the studio at Bahia, Brazil. You will be able to share the techniques and master the art of terracotta clay modelling. The one-week course will take you through all aspects of production. The tutors, with their moulds, are being flown from Brazil to demonstrate their craft. We already have fine Mediterranean clay here.
